So last night Kahlan woke up 5 times. She NEVER wakes up. So I didn’t know what was wrong, but something was wrong. So at her 5:30am (if I remember correctly) call….after brian tried really hard to put her down…I stepped in and took the helmet off. Hoping that was it. She slept till 9am so I at this point I’m frustrated with the helmet again. Until I walk in and see her face, covered in snot. Brian said last night that she had been sneezing a lot, so it’s official. Kahlan has her first cold. 🙁
I went and got a cold most humidifier in hopes that it helps her at night. She doesn’t have a fever so I’m just watching now and cuddling when I can. She must have felt bad today. Not only did she take 4 naps, but she nursed in public twice without getting distracted and was so tired I decided to put her to bed at 8:30. I’m hoping she feels better in the morning and sleeps well tonight.
All that being said, she went with me to get my hair cut. Not only am I actually thrilled with a shorter haircut for once, but it was done with a baby on my lap. I had to keep bouncing her because she was just so upset. And eventually I got her to latch. There I was sitting in the chair with her on my boob thinking….I never in my wildest dreams thought this would ever be me. I wish I would have taken a picture, but alas I didn’t. All I got was post haircut with her sleeping (as soon as her head hit the chair) in the background.
Oh….and we are awake….that took 30 minutes…off to cuddle.
